Papa Oli: Hawaiian Chanting

This is a two-session course that covers the history of Oli (Hawaiian chanting), styles, and techniques. Students will learn 3 practical oli that can be used in daily practice. Hawaiian culture, language, customs, and traditions will also be included.
Luana Kawaʻa is a Kumu Hula and award-winning chanter. She has taught hula, oli, Hawaiian language, and hula for 3 decades. The course is online via Zoom. All Zoom classes are also recorded for those who want to learn but cannot make the live Zoom classes.
